Taiwan's physics students have once again proven their mettle on the international stage, securing a remarkable feat at the 56th International Physics Olympiad (IPhO) in Colombia. With five gold medals, Taiwan tied for first place, showcasing the country's prowess in high school physics. This achievement is all the more impressive considering the stiff competition from 381 participants representing 91 countries.
The team, led by the esteemed National Taiwan Normal University physics professor Chen Chuan-Ren, was a testament to the power of rigorous preparation and selection. Five students, chosen from a pool of 2,361 nationwide, received pre-competition training, and their dedication paid off.
